Purpose

  • As Occupational Health Doctor you implement and manage the occupational health program safeguarding employees wellbeing while preventing workplace injuries and illnesses.

Responsibilities

  • You develop and implement the Occupational Health Program in compliance with local regulations.
  • You conduct pre-employment, periodic, return-to-work, and dismissal medical examinations as needed.
  • You monitor and evaluate the health of employees exposed to occupational hazards.
  • You provide medical consultations and follow-up care for work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • You collaborate with the Health & Safety team to identify and mitigate workplace health risks.
  • You maintain accurate medical records and documentation as required by law.
  • You advise on health promotion and disease prevention strategies within the workplace.
  • You participate in health and safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • You stay updated on relevant health regulations and best practices in the country of operations.
  • You provide technical support for all incident investigations.
  • You ensure the good performance of activities under your responsibility to meet objectives in line with business requirements.
  • You advise operations on health and wellbeing topics, ensuring the health & wellbeing of workers.
  • You advise on initial placement and changes in job roles for health reasons, including adapting roles for disadvantaged individuals.
  • You manage the Wellbeing Matters Program.
  • You supervise the implementation of measures to protect workers' health and prevent accidents.
  • You report occupational illnesses to local authorities and may participate in forensic medical expertise in court.
  • You participate in the development and evaluation of health education initiatives.
  • You help develop health policies and provide guidance on compliance with local and national regulations.

Education

  • Medical degree specialized in Occupational Health Medicine.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Country of Operations.

Experience

  • Experience in occupational health within industrial environment and/or corporate setting, preferably oil & gas.
  • Familiarity with health and safety management systems.
  • Additional certifications in occupational health and safety.
