International Mobility Lead

 

Department information

The International Mobility Lead will be part of the International Mobility team in Schiedam. This team is part of the HR team, operating from Schiedam. The International Mobility team assists employees, management and external stakeholders in the correct administration and execution of HR processes, policies and procedures. 

 

Role description

As an International Mobility Lead, you are responsible for assisting employees, management, the local Human Resources team and external stakeholders by giving administrative and immigration support for all international mobility related matters. You will be handling movements of (new) employees coming from all over the world to the Netherlands, but also transfers to projects which are globally. Furthermore, you are handling administration services to employees prior to their assignment and while they are assigned on site. With your expertise in expatriation, visa and immigration, you provide hands-on and accurate assistance within our dynamic environment.

Your main tasks are:

  • Managing the International Mobility team (2x Specialists).
  • Analyze visa requirements and, in cooperation with the Immigration Offices (IND), optimize the choice of applicable visas according to SBM’s and work force needs.
  • Ensure proper mobilization/demobilization of employee (follow up of moving to).
  • Review the completeness and accuracy of various forms and supporting documents that an applicant is required to present at the consulate during his/her immigrant visa interview.
  • Converting global mobility policies to local policies.
  • Creating new policies (schools/ apartments).
  • Assess the business needs and provide advice on the best assignment type, in line with rules and regulation.
  • Provide administration services for employees before and during their assignment.
  • Looking at new regulation in the field of International Mobility to keep compliance within your field of expertise.
  • Reporting to the Group International Mobility Specialist and the local HR Manager.
     

Role requirements

  • SBM Schiedam is looking for candidates with hands-on experience in handling International Mobility movements, with full-time availability.
  • You have good knowledge of Dutch legislation.
    Required education/ experience:
  • A completed MBO /HBO education, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Ten years work experience in handling International (inbound & outbound) Mobility movements.
    Furthermore you have the following skills and experience:
  • Ability to work efficiently in English and preferable also in Dutch.
  • Knowledge of actual regulation in the field of International Mobility.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
  • You are a self-starter.
  • You are service-oriented and solution finding.
  • You work accurate and very organized.
  • You are a strong team player, working local and globally, respecting confidentiality of all information.
