HULL RBI ENGINEER


As part of the Operation Readiness Team, representing the A.I Inspection & Integrity department, the Hull / Mooring RBI Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES

 

Whilst Hull Mooring RBI Engineer for the Op’s Readiness Project:

  • To be the main focal point and representative Hull / Mooring RBI scope for the Ops Readiness team and guarantee timely and cost-effective execution

 

  • Establish a strong and solid relationship with your counterpart from the Client and Contractor/Vendors side.

 

  • To contribute to the establishment of the logic and duration of the overall General planning for AI Inspection & Integrity project during the OR Phase.

 

  • To coordinate with the Operation Readiness Lead, AI I&I Dept and the AI Project Manager the Hull/Mooring RBI Scope Deliverables

 

  • Establish and coordinate with each Inspection & Integrity / Marine and Ops Readiness Planner a regular reporting and progress tracking in order to insure the correct execution plan Hull Mooring RBI program (Plan, procedure, guideline, software, RFQ/PO)

 

Accountable on the RBI deliverable for HULL / Mooring scope

 

  • You will remain of the focal point for the Hull Mooring RBI scope for the new project in order to implement the RBI Plan in the Hull Inspection Software (HIS) for future operation

 

  • Ensure that EPCI documentation required to set-up Hull Integrity Solution/ RBI is available and of the required quality. Review of the Vendor and Engineering documentation

 

  • To inspect the work at subcontractor(s) and or suppliers to ensure that final products meet delivery and quality requirements of contractual specifications,

 

  • Verify and approve after a proper QA that the data related to the Hull Mooring RBI scope is completed and accurate.

 

  • Prepare and manage the Hull RBI software implementation (HIS)

 

  • Receive and analyze the weekly progress reports from Contractor and assess the situation. Perform a weekly/or Bi weekly report with the Contractor in charge to develop the RBI Scope

 

  • Expertise in the Naval architecture, Naval Class, Inspection & Integrity in order to follow up the RBI Contractor Scope and answer on the Client specification

 

  • Responsible for effective supervision, coordination, and supervision of the HULL Mooring Contractor in charge to deploy the RBI Scope.

 

  • Bid preparation, RFQ, Cost estimation, Bid analysis, technical clarification meeting, PO, KOM

 

  • Ensure in collaboration with the Packages Engineers of the Project, that all required technical documentations are up to date and delivered by the Vendors.

 

  • To be familiar with the project specifications and to ensure that they are followed correctly.

 

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

TECHNICAL:

  • 10 Years of experience within Hull Integrity Inspection methodologies, under-water inspection of Hull and Mooring
  • Ideally Naval Architect background
  • Rules for repairs Hull strength:  Loads, corrosion allowances, safety factors, fatigue calculations, buckling
  • Knowledge of DNV SMH or BV or ABS HIMP or other Class tools
  • Knowledge of RBI methodology and Classification Society Rules for FPSOs
  • FPSO Operation or Marine / Naval background + offshore experience is a plus
  • Oil & Gas experience with FPSO is preferable with a strong technical background
  • Experience in Inspection & Integrity scope for a FPSO

 

ORGANISATIONAL:

  • Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with Project expectation
  • Capacity to set up action plan and monitor it.

 

PERSONAL SKILLS

 

  • Ability to work independently and quickly assess to prioritize the situation
  • Proactive, good interpersonal communication
  • Enthusiastic person with previous experiences in contractor follow-up.
  • Willing to travel internationally
  • Fluent in English
