Background

  • The Electrical Supervisor will exhibit exemplary safety and supervisory skills in all matters pertaining to electrical maintenance works on and pertinent to the vessel. They are responsible for ensuring its subordinates are competent to carry out their allotted tasks and confirming and clarifying the status of electrical personnel, (whether CEP or LAEP or LEP)

Authority

  • Safety, competence, and maintenance related to electrical systems and equipment, subordinate personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and external and ad hoc services. They liaise effectively with other key management personnel.

Immediate Subordinates

  • Electrical technicians, Subcontractors, Visitors, Vendor Representatives.

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience

  • After recruitment the Electrical Supervisor will be authorized to the appropriate level by the O &M Contractor Electrical Assessor or Senior Asset Electrical Engineer.
  • Qualified to at least HNC / HND, or NVQ Level 3 or recognized equivalent in Electrical Maintenance Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred including 3 years offshore petrochemical experience desired.
  • 3 years’ experience as Supervisor with prior Senior Authorized position.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of PTW, Electrical Isolation Standards, Risk Assessment, Power Management System, Generation on LV.
  • COMP-EX Certified.
  • Preferred courses achieved: HV Protection Relays and HVLV Switching.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
  • Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
