Purpose
- As Process & Facilities Lead, you are responsible for the leadership and providing technical direction to the process and facilities engineering team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. This includes overseeing the scope, schedule, and risk management of the department, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and ensuring the successful implementation of project control systems and processes. The role requires close coordination with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects meet their goals effectively.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for provide strategic direction and guidance to the technical team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Set priorities for process engineers and manage them to meet strategic objectives.
- Align the department’s scope, schedule, and risk management with the organization’s strategic goals. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
- Ensure a self-guided engineering environment, focused on technical analysis and proactive problem-solving. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders, both internally and externally. Support process engineers with questions and Management of Change (MoC) activities.
- Implement project control systems to monitor progress and performance. Guide troubleshooting and resolution efforts using standardized methods. Support the team in emergency situations by correctly allocating department resources.
- Promote methods to capture lessons learned and ensure knowledge transfer.
- Challenge and lead process changes as part of the RISE leadership program. Control and follow-up the 3-Year Plan (3YP) related to P &F scope, supporting budget exercises and strategic initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
Experience
- Chemical industry acting as process or production engineer.
- Project business focussed in process engineering
- Oil and gas experience (desired)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in industry.
