PURPOSE

  • In charge of defining & implementing Data Management Framework with associated roadmap.
  • In charge of defining & implementing data policies, standards and practices, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs.
  • In charge of working closely with Business and Functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assets.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS

  • Develop and maintain a data management framework with clear roadmap and communicate progress to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a data governance framework that includes policies, procedures, and standards for data management, data quality, data security, and data privacy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to ensure alignment with data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Develop and deliver data governance training programs for stakeholders across the organization to ensure understanding and compliance with data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor and report on data governance program effectiveness, including adherence to data policies and procedures, data quality metrics, and data security and privacy controls.
  • Ensure metadata is clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
  • Develop and implement data quality management processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Establish data classification to enable protection measures on sensitive data from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in data governance and related fields, and provide thought leadership to the organization.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure data governance requirements are met.
  • Keep up-to-date with evolving data governance trends, regulations, and best practices.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or relevant certifications in data management technologies is a plus.

 

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Management or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Governance applications tools is required.
  • Experience working with multiple data domains is preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality standards, metadata management, data lineage.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance/Data Management concepts
  • Experience in implementing business workflows for metadata cataloguing.
  • Strong understanding of data flow and data dependencies.
