Job description:

As Cats & Spec Specialist, you are responsible for applying discipline knowledge and experience to ensure the efficient technological developments are being utilized to support Engineers and Designers in completing their work efficiently. 

• Knowledge of international codes and standards on ASME & API.
• Project specific customization of system and writing macros.
• Proficient with the use of E3D/PDMS Design, Draft, Paragon Module, Cats and Specs Admin
• Capable of creating catalogues of Piping fittings, valves, specialty items & Instrument catalogues.
• Troubleshooting of user queries.
• Creation of piping specifications.
• Creation of Bolting specs.
• Creation of bore tables and reducer table.
• Laise with Piping Material engineer for the Piping specifications and catalogues updates.
• Coordinate the transfer of data, application interface with subcontractors, third party consultants, and vendors .
• Create required reports from PDMS model for Layout / Material groups.
• Setup ISODRAFT module for generating isometrics as per project & client specifications / documents & resolve and trouble shoot isometric errors.
• Creation of piping catalogues and specifications in ERM is an added advantage.
• Knowledge on PML
• Automating project backup process
• E3D/PDMS Navisworks review file development.
• Primary and secondary Pipe support customization (Ancillaries and frames)

Job requirements:

• Academic     : BE/BTech or Diploma in Mechanical engineering
• Exp               : 5 - 10 years relevant experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry.
• SW or tools : E3D / PDMS, MDS, AutoCAD & Aveva Engineering added advantage.
