Purpose

  • The Cash Specialist is responsible for optimizing cash management and financial efficiency by handling complex cash analysis tasks and supporting cash management activities. This role ensures the organization maintains sufficient liquidity to meet its financial obligations while maximizing returns and minimizing costs, without the team management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Financial Transactions and Cost Minimization:
  • Monitor bank accounts and initiate fund transfers, short-term investments, and borrowings to optimize returns or minimize costs.
  • Execute payments in foreign currency, using forward and swap currency instruments, in collaboration with the Financial Risk Management department.
  • 2. Account Reconciliation and Corrective Actions:
  • Reconcile bank account balances and investigate discrepancies, implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • 3. Reporting and Forecasting:
  • Prepare cash and investment reports.
  • Create daily cash forecasts and collaborate in producing the quarterly Group Consolidated Cash Planning.
  • 4.Developing Treasury Procedures:
  • Help establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop relevant tools to monitor their effectiveness
  • 5.Liquidity Management and Credit Facilities:
  • Review mid-term liquidity needs in coordination with credit facilities.
  • Develop and optimize cash management instruments to maximize return and minimize risk/cost.
  • 6. Compliance and Procedures:
  • Adhere to Bank Facility Agreements, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Design and implement cash management procedures, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • 7. Stakeholder Interaction:
  • Engage proactively with internal stakeholders (finance teams, executives) to contribute in aligning cash management strategies with organizational goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders (banks, financial institutions) to optimize services.
  • 8. System Development and Coordination:
  • Contribute to ongoing treasury system enhancements.
  • Coordinate with remote locations for efficient group-wide cash management.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (University or "Haute Ecole Spécialisée" (HES)) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in cash management, treasury operations, or financial analysis.
  • Proven track record of monitoring bank accounts, initiating fund transfers, and optimizing returns while minimizing costs.
  • Experience with foreign currency transactions, including forward contracts and swaps.
  • Strong skills in account reconciliation and corrective actions to address discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in preparing cash and investment reports, as well as creating cash forecasts.
  • Familiarity with liquidity management and coordination with credit facilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel is a must. VBA / PowerBI / SQL knowledge a plus.
