Purpose
- As Global Naval Engineer, you provide technical expertise in the design, construction, and maintenance of marine structures and vessels. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of marine assets within the company's operations.
Responsibilities
- You provide technical expertise to solve technical issues locally and fleet wide (i.e. structural re-assessments, Loading condition simulations)
- You ensure the integrity and safety of naval structures and ensure compliance by following up on Class issues, local & Flag regulations
- You review and approve reports and specifications for inspection and repairs (as delegated) and monitor and report the working progress of the inspection campaigns.
- You assist on budget preparation for the inspections campaigns and follow up during the year to support its achievement.
- You represent Operations in strategical and tactical meetings (as delegated)
- You develop, roll-out and follow-up the Naval related KPIs as required by Management.
- You may analyze the inspection reports provided by vendors and propose, every time is required, the necessary repairs following the best practices and International & Company standards.
Education
- Degree in Naval Architecture (including stability, naval structure and naval architecture) or related degree
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping/ offshore construction, repair and/or operation ,
- Experience in Class Society as surveyor is an advantage.
