THE ROLE

Monitor and control all HSSE matters related to project team members and contractors in ensuring that the Project complies with the project requirement i.e. specification, safety code and other policies/guidelines related to the project. This position will report to the Offshore and Brownfield HSSE Manager.

Responsible for the health, safety, environment, security & emergency throughout the project duration to achieve safe project completion.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/MAIN TASKS

        Ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSSE Systems.

        Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate HSSE procedures and provides with their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.

        Support Project team in developing and delivering HSSE initiatives and programs aiming to enhance HSSE culture and enforce compliance with Company HSSE procedures.

        Assists the Installation Commercial, Engineering and Operations Departments in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with HSSE at work.

        Conducts HSSE audits both internal and external.

        Takes part in accident / incident investigation and monitor implementation of corrective / preventive actions and lessons learned

        Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and developing improvement plans.

        Provides technical support to Senior Management on any HSSE related subjects.

        Develops and delivers any in-house HSSE training.

        Carries out HSSE audits on Sub-contractors.

        Liaises with Clients on HSSE related issues.

        Manages safety related engineering input into new projects and modification programs.

        Leads and participates in HAZOP meetings

        Leads and participates in HAZID meetings prior to installation and Construction activities.

        Leads and participates in Risk Assessment.

        Prepares HSSE documentation for Installation Projects and new tenders.

        Provides HSSE support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities

        Supports Project management in developing and delivering HSSE related communication to Project personnel

        Assists site HSSE team to ensure correct and complete implementation of site HSSE monitoring system according to Company and Project HSSE requirements

        Verifies correct implementation of Site HSSE reporting system

        Supports Project management in ensuring compliance with Company and Clients HSSE requirements during Project personnel site mobilization and demobilization

JOB REQUIREMENT

As a minimum, hold a Master degree in Engineering, Health, Management, Technical, Science, Education, Industrial, fields.

Hold relevant HSSE certification against international standards: ISO, OSHA, NEBOSH, CSP, etc...

Eight or More Years of Experience in Health, Safety, Security and Environment and Fire Services in the Oil and Gas industry of which 5 years in the Offshore Hook Up and Commissioning sector.

Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation by using TapRoot, HSE Auditing Techniques, HEMP

Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to influence and drive change.

Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address HSSE and Installation execution related challenges with a keen attention to detail.

Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to fast pace changing business needs and priorities.

 Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to articulate HSSE concepts to non-HSSE stakeholders. Ability to convey complex HSSE information clearly and effectively to convince various stakeholders profile including the Installation crew.
