MAIN MISSION


The Electrical & Instrumentation Manufacturing Engineer is the focal point between our SBM Design Office and our subcontracted manufacturers.
 

 You are assigned to:
 

  • Support to electrical designer and/or electrical/instrumentation engineer during design and calculation also for contracted/subcontracted activities.
  • Support to mechanical designers on optical, LV or HV swivel design and standard construction.
  • Work on SBM designed electrical, optical, LV or HV swivel / telemetry monitoring and control systems:
     
    • Issuance of equipment technical specifications (free issued items such as forgings, bolting, power rings etc, manufacturing and testing, I/O list)
    • Review technical calculations (power system sizing, radio path analysis)
    • Review and approval of electrical drawings / diagrams/ interconnection diagrams
    • Vendor selection process (interface with supply chain, review offers and issue TBE, participate to bid clarification meetings…)
    • PO execution: package engineer (accountable for compliance with specs), issue technical clarification list, review documentation, manage non-conformance(s) and deviations
    • Attend critical inspection(s) at manufacturer(s) premises such as inspection, assembly, FAT and iFAT
    • Gather Lessons learnt for future projects
    • Support site team until integration on board (stack erection, commissioning)
    • Propose and work on improvements to the swivel / telemetry standard
       

Job requirements

 

- 6 years in Offshore, Industrial, Nuclear (pressure vessel, welded construction) or Naval industry

- Academic : Electrical engineering school or equivalent


Experience:
 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial environment

 

Specific competencies:
 

  • Team spirit and good communication skills
  • Ability to monitor and follow up subcontractors/suppliers/partners
  • Autonomous and able to think out of the box
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Curious and motivated to propose and/or explore new ideas
  • Willing to travel (Europe mainly)
