ROLE DESCRIPTION

 

The IT Field Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive IT support to various stakeholder groups within the organization, including Regional Centers, Datacenters, Shore bases, Vessels, Yards, or any other Physical sites requiring IT assistance. This position requires accountability for applying specialized knowledge while acting as a strategic partner to the designated stakeholder groups.

 

RESPONSABILITIES

 

  1. Stakeholder Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support to assigned stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment with Group IT strategic and operational priorities.
  2. Interface with Subject Matter Experts: Act as a liaison between IT and subject matter experts within the assigned fields, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure IT solutions meet specific requirements and objectives.
  3. Problem Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex IT issues, collaborating with internal teams and external partners as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, including issues encountered, solutions implemented, and lessons learned, and provide regular reports to management as required.
  5. Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to end-users within assigned stakeholder groups, empowering them to leverage IT resources effectively and independently.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Technical education in IT completed or bachelor's degree in IT completed or ongoing.
  • Proven experience in IT support roles, preferably in a field support capacity.
  • Strong technical expertise across a wide range of IT systems and technologies.
  • Advanced English level.
