ROLE PURPOSE

The Senior Project Engineer leads Projects (or relevant Project tasks) in accordance with both the contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements. You may be assigned to lead Projects, scopes within a major Project, or to tasks such as Interface Management, Delivery Management, Area Management, Change Management, depending upon the size and complexity of the work scope.

ROLE CONTRIBUITION 

• Lead the team and actions for allocated scopes, inspiring others to achieve the project completion as per plan.

• Support the Project/Program Manager in the management of the project scopes.

• Capacity to differentiate and build teams based on skills, expertise, and temperament.

• Capacity to forecast project bottlenecks and risks and act in advance.

• Promote initiatives for savings and optimize project execution.

• Set up project plans, follow up on project execution, monitor and report progress and KPIs (Productivity, cost performance index, etc.).

• Responsible for allocated budget proposals and their follow-up.

• Support and manage project workload, decision-making, and resource allocation.

• High capacity to influence stakeholders to follow up on the project execution schedule.

• Act as company representative towards customers, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders as required.

• Ensure project execution optimum strategy by challenging engineering, constructability deliverables, and planning reviews.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Engineering or similar.

• Fluent in English.

• Knowledge/Experience in Project Management (desired 4 years leading teams);

• Minimum 10 years of work experience in relevant projects in the oil and gas industry acting as project lead or project responsible (e.g., Brownfield, EPC projects, Flotel, Planned Shutdowns, Modification/Maintenance Projects).

• Experience with Brownfield and/or EPC Projects is desirable.

• Certification in PMP and/or Postgraduate in Project Management is an advantage.
